"Of pregnant women and of the aged, of rice-grains and of cows, and of brahmins, make peace always, make weal." And if ghee is not to be had, O fair-hipped one, one should mix (it) with parched grain; or if curds are not to be had, one should mix (it) with milk. With this very mantra one should give the madhuparka; and at the time of a man's death one should give (it), which releases from transmigration. But he who, by this ordinance, performs the unsurpassed śānti, abandoning all attachments, goes to my world.
