Yogis , having abandoned attachment, perform action only by the body, by the mind, by the Reason, and even by the senses, for the purification of the self.

This verse asks something quieter than renouncing your work: it asks you to keep doing it — with body, mind, reason, even the senses — while loosening the grip of wanting it to turn out a certain way [BG 5.11]. The purification it promises comes not from the task completed but from the hands that held it lightly.
