A golden lotus is seen (there) at midday when the sun is (overhead), where there is my secret (place) named Rāmagṛha, O illustrious one — pleasing and delightful and covered over with water-born flowers; the lotuses grown there illuminate the ten directions. Adorned with white water-lilies, with lotuses, and with the finest fragrant flowers — there a man should bathe, having fasted for six meal-times. And that water neither increases nor does it diminish. In the month of Bhādrapada, in the bright fortnight, on the twelfth, to the south of Malaya and to the north of the ocean — there a man should bathe, having fasted for five meal-times. This has been told to you, good lady, what you asked of me; it has been spoken for the sake of the devotees. What else do you ask?
