अथ सुमनोगन्धादिमाहात्म्यम् ।। सूत उवाच ।। श्रुत्वा तु कोकामाहात्म्यं पृथिवी धर्मसंहितम् ।। विस्मयं परमं याता श्रुत्वा धर्मं महौजसम्

As long as the worlds are upheld, for that long a time, O Vasundharā, he is born blessed, my devotee, never a devotee of another. And he who has the rite performed with this mantra in the cold season, he attains the highest perfection, being established in devotion to me. "O Lord, the months are twelve and (the days) three hundred and sixty; among them why just these two for me? O Lord, why do you praise (them)?" Giving, and intent on my rite, he obtains (this): no birth and death, no weariness, and no hunger.
