Thus was that earth, together with her oceans, upheld for a thousand years by the good one with the adamant tusk. What sort of rite (should be done) in spring, what rite should one have performed in summer? And what rite in the rainy season, and what should one have performed at the end of the rains? What rites should one perform from the feeding of your devotee? And what is the offering of it, O God, that is not productive of fault? What course do they attain who are devoted to your rites? Those who give up their lives in your holy fields, O Vaikuṇṭha—what course is theirs, O God, from carrying a lamp on the head? And those who, ever drinking (only) milk, remain fixed in thought of you—therefore the determination of Yoga and Sāṃkhya must be told by you alone. And when the living being who worships you has departed, (the offering) attended with the honey-mixture—reflecting on this for the sake of the dharma of the world, you ought to speak of it.
