As long as the moon and the sun (stand) in the sky, as long as the earth is firm, so long does that man too, together with his kinsmen, (dwell) in the abode of the dwellers of his own heaven. In all things that follow his wish, in all the quarters, the giver of a brahmāṇḍa (i.e. of the gift called brahmāṇḍa) takes his sport; and afterwards he goes to that station most hard to win, to Mādhava, to the delight of the gods. The pātālas are seven, and likewise the worlds above. Its height is twofold, of that (serpent) which abides in the midst of the waters; it lies like a garland of flowers, reddened by the jewels and stones (i.e. gems) of its hoods. He upon whom rests this whole earth — who shall tell his valour? Foods to be chewed and to be eaten, and things to eat and drink, are enjoyed abundantly by the joyful, and there, best of sages, time does not come into being even as it passes.
