।। सूत उवाच ।। अतः परं प्रवक्ष्यामि मल्लिकार्जुनसंभवम् ।। यः श्रुत्वा भक्तिमान्धीमान्सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते

— then the divine sage came and told the whole affair, the marriage of the Lord of the Gaṇas and the rest, confusing him by his own devising. And going there, all of them, having bowed low to Kumāra and having informed him in many ways, made their request to him respectfully: "Whoever looks upon that liṅga is released even from all his sins — there is no doubt here — and would obtain all his desires."
