|| śrīgaṇeśāya nama. || atha caturthī koṭirudrasaṃhitā prārabhyate || yo dhatte nijamāyayaiva bhuvanākāraṃ vikārojjhito yasyāhuḥ karuṇākaṭākṣavibhavau svargāpavarggābhidhau || pratyagbodhasukhādvayaṃ hṛdi sadā paśyanti yaṃ yoginastasmai śailasutāñjitārddhavapuṣe śaśvannamastejase
Homage to Śrī Gaṇeśa. Here begins the fourth, the Koṭirudra Saṃhitā. He who, himself free of change, assumes the form of the world by his own māyā alone; the two glories of whose compassionate sidelong glance are called heaven and release; whom yogins always behold in the heart as the non-dual bliss of inward awareness — to him, whose body is half anointed by the mountain's daughter, to that radiance, homage forever.

May that great blessing bring about something (beyond telling) — whose gaze is soft with grace, whose lotus-face is lovely with a smile, radiant with a sliver of the moon, that has stilled the dreadful triad of afflictions, whose body is being-and-consciousness of supreme bliss shining forth, encircled by the arm of the daughter of the mountain-bearer.

Again, dear one, let the excellent greatness of Śiva be told, that which concerns the liṅga, with full delight; blessed are you, best of Śaivas. The holy places consist of the liṅga; everything is established in the liṅga. There is no counting of them; I shall speak of some of them. Those Jyotirliṅgas here which are the foremost, O best one — those I shall tell today; hearing of them, sin is driven away. And he by whom even one has been worshipped without break for six months — for him there arises no suffering of being born from a mother's womb. That which arose from Bhīmaśaṅkara is remembered as Bhīmeśvara; it is famous on the Sahya mountain, and it greatly increases strength.
