When the Vyāsa is called Rakṣa, in the fourteenth turn, there in the lineage of Aṅgiras I shall become Gautama. And in the eighteenth revolution, when the Vyāsa is Ṛtaṃjaya, I (shall be) named Śikhaṇḍin, on the auspicious peak of Himavat. In the twenty-second revolution, when the Vyāsa is Śuṣmāyaṇa, then too I shall become a great sage at Vārāṇasī. There too those disciples of mine will be ascetics: Ulūka, Vidyut, Śambūka, and Āśvalāyana — yogins, brāhmaṇas, masters of the Vedas, holders of the seed upward; having attained the Māheśvara yoga they will go to Śiva's city.
