"This task is to be accomplished by you and by no one else ever; by Vyāsa's word it is manifest — make your life fruitful." Nandīśvara said: While the Pāṇḍavas were thus grieving, that lord of sages, Vyāsa, an ocean of compassion, best of seers, arrived. And in the same way, O Pāṇḍava, Rāma's sorrow too is to be understood, hearing which a great bewilderment comes upon women and men. Where the Aśoka grove stands, that supreme heaven — there he stayed, having himself bathed and bowed to the supreme teacher. Then, seeing him arrived, the Pāṇḍava performed worship; standing before (him) and making praise (he said), "Tell now, whence have you come?" Then, seeing the form of Śakra, Arjuna was abashed; and Indra, consoling him, spoke words again. Nandīśvara said: Having said this, he summoned all the spies and said this: "One must stand ever attentive in guarding this."
