Brahmā said: O divine sage, let it be heard well; I gladly tell that tale which destroys great sins and increases devotion to Śiva. — "And so you should act, proclaiming (my) fame in the world; make all my father's (effort) fruitful, and thus take me to (your) house. Both independent and dependent have I been made by you, O Goddess; for you alone are Prakṛti, the doer of all, the great Māyā." Pārvatī said: "You are the Self and I am Prakṛti; no deliberation is needed here. We two are independent, yet subject to (our) devotees, without attributes and also with attributes." Going there, the Great Lord, filled with supreme bliss, told Nandin and the others the whole account.
