What deeds did Śambhu, joined to separation from Satī, then perform? When did he come to the excellent slope of Himavat to practise austerity? Having obtained a vision somewhere, pained by separation from Satī, Śaṅkara, the benefactor of devotees, came again to the mountain. Seeing that behaviour, Śambhu — full of curiosity, a doer (of deeds), skilled — the inner controller, Hara, then laughed and, knowing (her mind), spoke to the Earth.
