And by him (Viśvakarman) he had a delightful, spacious mansion properly built in his own cow-shed enclosure, and there an excellent lion-throne. Then, with a delighted mind, having summoned Hari from Vaikuṇṭha — with his (Hari's) devotion being full, O Devī, Maheśvara rejoiced. Maheśa said: "You are the maker of all the worlds, the sustainer and the destroyer, by my command; the giver of dharma, wealth and pleasure, the chastiser of those who act wrongly." Rāma said: Having thus obtained unbroken sovereignty from Hara, Hara himself, the lord of Umā, plays freely on Kailāsa there with his own hosts. Then, having heard the words of Rāma of disciplined self, Satī became delighted, praising in her heart him who is devoted to Śiva's devotees (or: to devotion to Śiva). Śiva said: "If I, the great one, were to show affection for Dakṣa's daughter as before, my pure vow would perish, (mine) who follow the play of the world." Telling various tales, he reached Kailāsa along with Satī; seated on the excellent (throne), the yogin holding samādhi assumed his own form.
