Sanatkumāra said: Then, when Aniruddha had gone, Kṛṣṇa, hearing the sound of the weeping of his women, became distressed, O best of sages. There was a most tumultuous battle, marvellous and hair-raising, between Kṛṣṇa and the others and those protectors of Bāṇa, Rudra and the rest. Thus the heroes headed by Pradyumna, for whom battle was a great festival, waged a most terrible fight, destroying the enemy army. Then the Lord Hara, praised by Viṣṇu's fever, being pleased, spoke to Viṣṇu's cold-fever, he who is loving to those who come for refuge. Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: O charioteer, hear my word; drive my chariot swiftly, so that, standing near Mahādeva, I may speak (my) words. O Lord, O master, by your own māyā, for the establishing of all the qualities, you are joined with all and divided in all ways, O Maheśvara. Therefore, at my bidding, swallow me up with the yawning weapon (jṛmbhaṇāstra); then do your own task as you wish, and be happy.
