With his senses restrained he muttered the knowledge of Brahman given by his teacher. Becoming single-minded and holding back the organs (of sense), by the command of Brahmā, his wish fulfilled through austerity, with a delighted face he came swiftly to the Badarikā hermitage. "Of those women who are devoted to their husbands, you are the foremost among them. And I am not one who craves a sinful look, nor are you (such) — this is my conviction. Therefore the ancestors do not willingly accept the piṇḍa-offering and libation (of such a man), nor do the gods accept the flowers, fruits and the rest given by him." Sanatkumāra said: Having given this blessing, Brahmā went to his own abode; and the Dānava took her by a gāndharva marriage.
