Now tell with great kindness, showing favour to me: where did Rāhu, released by that man, go, O great sage? — Crores born of the hero-clan, and the malevolent ones of the Kambu lineage, the Kālakas and the Kālakeyas, and likewise the Mauryas and the Dhaumras. Subject to him, he today dwells in his house together with me; and we abide there, we gods, subject to his command. Of great strength, a great hero, unconquerable by all the dwellers in heaven and by others too, O Lord of gods — this I speak as the truth. Then, hearing the uproar that arose from the shouting of the demons, the great Lord, of great play, the ender of the wicked, grew exceedingly angry. But seeing those (demons) thrown into confusion — all the attendants afflicted with fear — they all reported to the God of gods the doing of Śukra. Then those floods of demon arrows, like swarms of locusts, blocked the sky and all the directions, making the army of the attendants tremble.
