The sun was driven from his place, and the moon and fire likewise; the king of serpents from Pātāla, and Dharmarāja was rejected. Swiftly he arrived at that very place where the Daitya Jalandhara was, making a lion's roar, with the gods blazing with Viṣṇu's splendour. Sanatkumāra said: The Daityas, thus commanded by Jalandhara, skilled in battle, fought against all those gods furnished with the fourfold army.
