praṇanāma haraṃ prītyā surānanyānapi dhruvam || kṛtāṃjalirnataskaṃdhaḥ praṇanāma puna śśivam || sanatkumāra uvāca || ityākarṇya mayoktā hi saṃstutiṃ parameśvaraḥ || prasanno'bhūddvijaśreṣṭha mayaṃ provāca cādarāt sanatkumāra uvāca || ityājñāṃ śirasādhāya śaṃkarasya mahātmanaḥ || taṃ praṇamya surāṃścāpi vitalaṃ prajagāma saḥ adyato matametaṃ hi praviṣṭānāṃ nṛṇāṃ kalau|| kugatirbhavitā brūmaḥ satyaṃ naivātra saṃśayaḥ dhanyaṃ yaśasyamāyuṣyaṃ dhanadhānyapravarddhakam || svargadaṃ mokṣadaṃ cāpi kiṃ bhūyaḥ śrotumicchasi ||

He bowed to Hara with love, and surely to the other gods as well; with joined palms and bent shoulders he bowed again to Śiva. Sanatkumāra said: Hearing thus the praise uttered by Maya, the supreme lord became pleased, O best of the twice-born, and spoke to Maya respectfully. Sanatkumāra said: Thus taking the command of the great-souled Śaṃkara upon his head, and bowing to him and to the gods too, he went to Vitala. From this day on, for those men in the Kali age who have entered into this doctrine, an evil destiny will come to be: we speak the truth, there is no doubt here. (It is) conferring of fortune, fame and long life, increasing wealth and grain, granting heaven and also granting liberation. What more do you wish to hear?
