Brahmā said: When those seven sages, together with Arundhatī, had gone, O lord of sages, I tell you what Himavat did. Then he had a collection of gold made with care, and manifold materials suited to the performing of the marriage, being wholly delighted and eager for the arrival of his kinsfolk. Meanwhile his relatives were invited, and the company of women with their children went joyfully to the house of the snow-mountain. The greatly fortunate mountain Gandhamādana came, and other mountains too that are in the other continents, O twice-born; and all the mountains that are here too came to Himālaya. He lodged them all in good places, each separately, and gratified them all completely with many provisions.
