Your eye, O Varuṇa, fair of aspect, rises up — Sūrya, (the eye) of you two gods, spreading himself out; he who looks upon all beings takes note of the intent among mortals.

pra vāṁ sa mitrāvaruṇāv ṛtāvā vipro manmāni dīrghaśrud iyarti | yasya brahmāṇi sukratū avātha ā yat kratvā na śaradaḥ pṛṇaithe

That truth-keeping inspired singer, far-heard, sends forth his thoughts to you, Mitra and Varuṇa — whose sacred words you two, of good resolve, favour, so that you fill out his autumns by your power.

Forth from the broad earth, Mitra and Varuṇa, forth from the lofty, high heaven, O good givers, you have set your spies among the plants and among the settlements, keeping unblinking watch as they go apart (each his way).

From the wide earth, O Varuṇa and Mitra from the great lofty heaven, ye, Bounteous Givers, – Have in the fields and houses set your warder-, who visit every spot and watch unceasing.

RV 7 61.4

शꣳसा मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धाम शुष्मो रोदसी बद्बधे महित्वा । अयन् मासा अयज्वनाम् अवीराः प्र यज्ञमन्मा वृजनꣳ तिराते

śaṁsā mitrasya varuṇasya dhāma śuṣmo rodasī badbadhe mahitvā | ayan māsā ayajvanām avīrāḥ pra yajñamanmā vṛjanaṁ tirāte

I will proclaim the ordinance of Mitra and Varuṇa; their vehemence presses hard on the two worlds with its greatness. Let the months of the non-sacrificers pass without sons; let him whose thought is on the sacrifice extend his community.

AI translation rendered from the Sanskrit, not a published edition — the model flagged this verse as uncertain

Compare with Ralph T.H. Griffith

I praise the strength of Varuṇa and Mitra that strength, by mightiness, keeps both worlds asunder. Heroless pass the months of the ungodly he who loves sacrifice makes his home enduring.

— tr. Ralph T.H. Griffith (1896)

RV 7 61.5

amūrā viśvā vṛṣaṇāv imā vāṁ na yāsu citraṁ dadṛśe na yakṣam | druhaḥ sacante anṛtā janānāṁ na vāṁ niṇyāny acite abhūvan

Unerring are all these (works) of yours, O bulls, in which no marvel is seen and no secret power; the untruths of men keep company with deceits; your hidden things have not come to be (known) to the unperceiving.

AI translation rendered from the Sanskrit, not a published edition — the model flagged this verse as uncertain

Compare with Ralph T.H. Griffith

Steers, all infallible are these your people in whom no wondrous thing is seen, no worship. Guile follows close the men who are untruthful: no secrets may be hidden from your knowledge.

— tr. Ralph T.H. Griffith (1896)

RV 7 61.6
