kadā bhuvan rathakṣayāṇi brahma kadā stotre sahasrapoṣyaṁ dāḥ | kadā stomaṁ vāsayo 'sya rāyā kadā dhiyaḥ karasi vājaratnāḥ

When shall (our) formulations win dwellings on chariots? When wilt thou give thousandfold prosperity to the praiser? When wilt thou clothe his praise-song with riches? When wilt thou make (our) thoughts jewelled with prizes?

WHEN shall our prayers rest in thy car beside thee? When dost thou give the singer food for thousands? When wilt thou clothe this poet's laud with plenty, and when wilt thou enrich our hymns with booty?

— tr. Ralph T.H. Griffith (1896)

RV 6 35.2

karhi svit tad indra yan nṛbhir nṝn vīrair vīrān nīḻayāse jayājīn | tridhātu gā adhi jayāsi goṣv indra dyumnaṁ svarvad dhehy asme

When indeed will that be, Indra, that with men thou wilt bring men to rest, with heroes heroes, and wilt win the contests? Threefold mayest thou win cattle among the cattle; Indra, place in us splendour that holds the sun.

Compare with Ralph T.H. Griffith

When wilt thou gather men with men, O Indra, heroes with heroes, and prevail in combat? Thou shalt win triply kine in frays for cattle, so, Indra, give thou us celestial glory.

— tr. Ralph T.H. Griffith (1896)

RV 6 35.3

कर्हि स्वित् तद् इन्द्र यज् जरित्रे विश्वप्सु ब्रह्म कृणवः शविष्ठ । कदा धियो न नियुतो युवासे कदा गोमघा हवनानि गच्छाः

karhi svit tad indra yaj jaritre viśvapsu brahma kṛṇavaḥ śaviṣṭha | kadā dhiyo na niyuto yuvāse kadā gomaghā havanāni gacchāḥ

When indeed will that be, Indra, that thou wilt make for the singer a formulation of all forms, O mightiest? When wilt thou yoke (our) thoughts like teams? When wilt thou go to the invocations that bestow cattle?

AI translation rendered from the Sanskrit, not a published edition

Compare with Ralph T.H. Griffith

Yea, when wilt thou, O Indra, thou Most Mighty, make the prayer all-sustaining for the singer? When wilt thou yoke, as we yoke songs, thy Horses, and come to offerings that bring wealth in cattle?

— tr. Ralph T.H. Griffith (1896)

RV 6 35.4

sa gomaghā jaritre aśvaścandrā vājaśravaso adhi dhehi pṛkṣaḥ | pīpihīṣaḥ sudughām indra dhenum bharadvājeṣu suruco rurucyāḥ

Bestow upon the singer those nourishments that give cattle, that gleam with horses, that have the fame of prizes; make the well-milking cow swell with refreshments, Indra; shine forth brightly among the Bharadvājas, thou of fair light.

AI translation rendered from the Sanskrit, not a published edition — the model flagged this verse as uncertain

Compare with Ralph T.H. Griffith

Grant to the Singer food with store of cattle, splendid with horses and the fame of riches. Send food to swell the milch-cow good at milking: bright be its shine among the Bharadvâjas.

— tr. Ralph T.H. Griffith (1896)

RV 6 35.5

tam ā nūnaṁ vṛjanam anyathā cic chūro yac chakra vi duro gṛṇīṣe | mā nir araṁ śukradughasya dhenor āṅgirasān brahmaṇā vipra jinva

Now indeed, O hero, O Śakra, as thou art sung of, (open) the doors wide to that community, even in another way. Let me not be cut off from the brightly milking cow; quicken the Āṅgirasas with (thy) formulation, O inspired one.

AI translation rendered from the Sanskrit, not a published edition — the model flagged this verse as uncertain

Compare with Ralph T.H. Griffith

Lead otherwise this present foeman, Ṣakra! Hence art thou praised as Hero, foe destroyer Him who gives pure gifts may I praise unceasing. Sage, quicken the Angirases by devotion.

— tr. Ralph T.H. Griffith (1896)
