सहस्रानीकस्य हरेर् अवतारांश् च शार्ङ्गिणः सांप्रतं श्रोतुम् इच्छामि तन् मे वद महामते

sahasrānīkasya harer avatārāṃś ca śārṅgiṇaḥ sāṃprataṃ śrotum icchāmi tan me vada mahāmate

Now I wish to hear about Sahasrānīka, and about the descents (avatāras) of Hari, the bearer of the bow; tell me that, O greatly wise one.
