The Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa, chapter 27. Sūta said: oṃ kaṇicikīṇikakrāṇī carvāṇī, O carrier-off of spirits, O poisoner of snakes, O Nārāyaṇī without a chariot, O Umā, burn, burn! O you (with weapons) in hand, fierce one, terrible one, Māheśvarī, great-mouthed, flame-mouthed, spike-eared, parrot-headed: slay, slay the enemy! O destroyer of all, make the blood sweat from all his limbs. You are gazing at him; with your mind, O goddess, bewilder him, bewilder him! Born in the heart of Rudra, abiding in the heart of Rudra — Rudra with his terrible form: you, O goddess, protect, protect me! hrūṃ, me, hrūṃ, pha pha pha ṭha ṭhaḥ. (This is) the remover of Skanda, Mekhalā, the child-seizing demons, enemies and poison. oṃ śāle māle, take away, take away! O you whose rush of poison is free of the poison-syllable, hāṃ hāṃ śavari huṃ śavari, O mistress of the surge of Ākaula, in all, viñca, O garland of clouds — (this is) the removal of all poison of snakes and the rest.
