Having joyfully raised the shout of victory and (performed) the auspicious waving-away of ill and the rest, smiling and casting sidelong glances, their bodies bristling with thrilled hair — Śatarūpā and Saṃjñā and the sixteen chaste wives, the charming daughters of the gods, daughters of the nāgas, daughters of the sages. Having spoken thus, she then gave the ashes of Kāma, tied up in a knot, and she wept before Śambhu, crying "Lord, O lord!" To Śiva, who had eaten there, the mother of the gods, Aditi herself, spoke with a smile — O Rādhā — affectionately, a sweet speech. Śatarūpā said: Send Śaṃkara forth at once, lovingly, together with Pārvatī, having prepared in a solitary place a jewel-lamp, betel, and a couch — and (there was) Kailāsa in one place, in another place Indra's mansion; seeing the marvel, Mahādeva became well pleased. Thus addressed, Menakā — (and) Himālaya, coming there quickly, then wept aloud, holding his little daughter to his own breast. The throng of lovely women was countless — and who is able to make a count of them? — and they made the wedded pair enter the dwelling-chamber. All the old women and the young ones, and the mountains, ran in delight; Menā ran too, smiling, with her two sons and her daughter-in-law.
