Śrī Rādhikā said: "By this very rule Brahmā abandoned the enchantress. How then did he become unworthy of worship through the curse of the unchaste woman? — 'As a vehicle in the form of a bull, I myself; another is unable to carry him; formerly, at the slaying of Tripura, (he was) born from a portion of my portion.'"

Śrī Nārāyaṇa said: Having heard the words of the Mistress of the Rāsa, the Lord of connoisseurs laughed and began to tell her the deeply hidden tale: — "His delight is ever in the thorn-apple, in the smearing with bilva leaves, in the scentless and the fragrant alike, and in the tiger-skin dear to yogins."

Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: "Brahmā, having long practised austerity and obtained from me the best of boons, made creation of many kinds and became the Ordainer. — Of whichever beings, small or great, pride arises, my dear, such (pride) of theirs I grind to powder. — (Śiva,) resembling pure crystal, five-faced, three-eyed, holding trident and spear, clothed in the excellent tiger-skin. — By its violent weeping his meditation was broken, and he saw before him, in person, the giver of all riches. — Then the Siddhas, the chiefs of the gods, the chief sages and the Manus praised me with joy and true devotion, while Śiva stood abashed with shame. — When Rudra was thrown down together with his chariot, the gods and divine sages in fear praised me, saying again and again, 'Protect (us), O Kṛṣṇa!' — My presiding deity of well-being, whose form is joy, is Gaṇeśvara; the highest good, Dharma himself, and the fire-god are my devotees. — Śrī Rādhikā said: O Lord, knower of all truths, seed of all, eternal one, answer the question I desire, which breaks all doubts. — Meanwhile he saw me standing before him, a youth of exceedingly lovely limbs, dark and beautiful. — Afterwards, from the dark (tāmasic) eye of Hara set in his forehead, at the time of destruction the destroyer's fire appears in wrath. — The serpents, enemies of Garuḍa, went to Śaṃkara for refuge; out of compassion he bears those very refuge-seekers on his own body. — His mind is not on the divine world, on a divine couch, or among people; in the cremation ground, in utter solitude, he meditates on me day and night. — I do not dwell in Goloka, nor in Vaikuṇṭha, nor on your breast (so much as) I am ever bound in Śiva's heart by the cord of love."

"In all the world-spheres, exaltation lasts only up to (the point of) pride: thinking thus, I broke Brahmā's arrogance. — Even by the falling of a Brahmā only a moment passes for the trident-bearer; I do not know the measure of his lifespan — what scripture (could tell it)?"
