stotreṇaiva mayoktena stutvā gaṇapatiṃ param || kāṇvaśākhoktavidhinā stuhi durgāṃ jagatprasūm śaṃkarastapasā labdho yogīndrāṇāṃ gurorguruḥ || labdho gaṇapatiḥ putraḥ kṛṣṇāṃśaḥ kṛṣṇasevayā navayauvanasampannā sindūrāruṇyaśobhitā || lalitaṃ kabarībhāraṃ mālatīmālyamaṇḍitam rāgādhiṣṭhātṛdevī yā śuklamūrtissatāṃ prasūḥ || sarasvatīṃ tāṃ śāstrajñāṃ śāstrajñāḥ pravadantyaho lopāmudrā'pyagastyasya devamātā'ditistathā || ahalyā gautamasyāpi sarvādhārā vasundharā madhukaiṭabhayoryuddhe trātā'sau viṣṇurīśvarīm || babhūva śaktimānstutvā tvāṃ durgāṃ praṇamāmyaham sarvāntarātmā bhagavāṃstuṣṭassyātsantataṃ hariḥ || bhaktirbhavatu te kṛṣṇe śivade ca śive gurau dasyugrastaḥ phaṇigrastaśśatrugrasto bhayānakaḥ || vyādhigrasto bhavenmuktaḥ stotrasmaraṇamātrataḥ ||

Having praised the supreme Gaṇapati with the very hymn spoken by me, praise Durgā, mother of the world, by the rite declared in the Kāṇva branch. By austerity Śaṃkara was obtained, the guru of the guru of the lords of yogins; by service to Kṛṣṇa was obtained the son Gaṇapati, a portion of Kṛṣṇa. Endowed with fresh youth, shining with the redness of vermilion, her lovely mass of braided hair adorned with a garland of mālatī flowers; she who is the goddess presiding over passion, whose form is white, the mother of the good — ah, the knowers of the śāstras declare her to be Sarasvatī, knower of the śāstras. Lopāmudrā too, of Agastya, and likewise Aditi mother of the gods, and Ahalyā of Gautama, and Vasundharā the support of all. In the battle with Madhu and Kaiṭabha that Viṣṇu became protector, became possessed of power, by praising the Goddess — I bow to you, Durgā. May the Lord Hari, the inner self of all, be ever pleased; may there be devotion in you to Kṛṣṇa, and to Śiva the giver of good, the guru. One seized by robbers, seized by a serpent, seized by enemies, in terror, seized by disease, would be freed merely by remembering this hymn.
