What is the procedure, what the meditation, what the hymn, and what the protective formula? What mantra did he give the king? Tell that manner of worship. — (Meditating on) her whose hue is that of the white campaka, whose radiance equals ten million moons, whose face is the full autumn moon, whose eyes are autumn lotuses, fair of hip and fair of buttock, excellent, with lips like ripe bimba fruit; having meditated (thus) and having set a flower on (her) head, one should meditate again on the Lord of the world. One should offer a flower, and, meditating again, the sixteen articles of service. — "Compounded with the resin of trees, mixed with earthly substances, produced from the flame-tip of a portion of fire: receive, O Goddess, this incense of mine." — In sequence beginning from the east, moving rightward, O beloved, with devotion, with the fivefold service: (there are) the beloved attendant maids — Padmāvatī in the lotus grove, Kṛṣṇā at Kṛṣṇa's lake, Bhadrā in the bower-hut, and Kāmyā in the Kāmyaka forest. — Such a meritorious man will possess the highest lordship here in this world; freed from all sin, at the end he goes to the abode of Viṣṇu. — Fallen from lordship, without prosperity, wifeless and afflicted, they all took counsel together and went to Śrī Kṛṣṇa for refuge. — "You are Tulasī, whose form is merit, and Gaṅgā who purifies the worlds, and in Brahmā's world Sāvitrī; by a portion (of yourself) you are the Earth." Having made this praise, the Lord of the world obtained her. The gods became prosperous, with wives, endowed with their powers. If a woman hears this hymn she is blessed with the good fortune of a husband; whoever hears the hymn with devotion is surely freed from bondage.
