BvP 2 45.1

नारायण उवाच ।।

nārāyaṇa uvāca || uktaṃ dvayorupākhyānaṃ brahmaputra yathāgamam|| śrūyatāṃ manasākhyānaṃ yacchrutaṃ dharmavaktrataḥ 0|| siddhaṃ yogaṃ harātprāpa tenāsau siddhayoginī|| mahājñānaṃ ca gopyaṃ ca mṛtasañjīvinīṃ parām

Nārāyaṇa said: The account of the two has been told, O son of Brahmā, as it has come down (in tradition). Now let the account of Manasā be heard, which was heard from the mouth of Dharma. She obtained the perfected yoga from Hara, and by that she became a perfected yoginī, and (obtained) the great and secret knowledge, the supreme (art of) reviving the dead.

And she, the blessed maiden, was the mind-born daughter of Kaśyapa; therefore she is Manasādevī, and because she shines forth by the mind. She is renowned as Nāgeśvarī, and likewise as the sister of the serpents. She is able to withdraw poison, therefore she is Viṣahāriṇī. By ten hundred thousand recitations alone the hymn becomes effective for men; he for whom the hymn becomes effective is able to consume poison.
