(Meditate on) her, the supreme one, who dwells in the pericarp of the thousand-petalled lotus, the excellent one whose hands are endowed with the radiance of ten million autumn full moons. "Sandalwood, sprung from the Malaya mountain, the heart-pleasing essence of the tree, fragrant and pleasure-giving — O goddess, let it be taken. A cake made of grain-flour, baked, marked with the svastika and other signs, offered by me — O goddess, let it be accepted. A fine couch, strung with the finest jewels, together with flowers and sandal, richly adorned with jewelled ornaments — let it be accepted." Wearing a garland of jewels, with radiance equal to ten million moons — seeing her, the Mother of the world, serene, Purandara praised her: "You are Aditi, the mother of the gods; you are Kamalā, O dweller in the lotus; you are Svāhā in the offering of oblations, and you are known as Svadhā in the offering to the ancestors. Grant kingdom, grant prosperity, grant strength, O mistress of the gods; grant fame, grant wealth, and grant me sons." If a self-restrained man recites this hymn of accomplishment for one month, he will become greatly happy and a lord among kings — there is no doubt.
