And he who eats the food of an unchaste woman or the food of a harlot, O faithful wife, and the twice-born who goes to her — he goes to (the hell) Kālasūtra. He who goes to a wanton woman (is reborn as) a partridge; he who goes to a bold (adulteress), a crow; he who goes to an unchaste woman, a cuckoo; and he who goes to a harlot, a wolf. And Yama's servant constantly puts a firebrand in his mouth, and strikes him on the head with a rod for as many years as (the woman has) body-hairs. A brāhmaṇa should go to a brāhmaṇa woman, a kṣatriya likewise to a kṣatriya woman, a vaiśya to a vaiśya woman; and if a śūdra should go to a śūdra woman (that is proper). He who betrays a friend, is ungrateful, is a breaker of trust, and gives false witness — he goes to (the hell) Jvālāmukha. And he who lacks vows and fasts, who reviles good speech — the crooked man dwells, crooked, for a hundred years in icy water. The well-known pits have been told, O faithful wife; there are also other, minor and lesser-known ones there.
