सौतिरुवाच ।। तदा ब्रह्मा तपः कृत्वा सिद्धिं प्राप्य यथेप्सिताम् ।। ससृजे पृथिवीमादौ मधुकैटभमेदसा भूर्लोकं च भुवर्लोकं स्वर्लोकं सुमनोहरम् ।। जनोलोकं तपोलोकं सत्यलोकं च शौनक वैकुण्ठः शिवलोकश्च गोलोकश्च तयोः परः ।। नित्यो विश्वबहिर्भूतश्चात्माकाशदिशो यथा

sautiruvāca || tadā brahmā tapaḥ kṛtvā siddhiṃ prāpya yathepsitām || sasṛje pṛthivīmādau madhukaiṭabhamedasā bhūrlokaṃ ca bhuvarlokaṃ svarlokaṃ sumanoharam || janolokaṃ tapolokaṃ satyalokaṃ ca śaunaka vaikuṇṭhaḥ śivalokaśca golokaśca tayoḥ paraḥ || nityo viśvabahirbhūtaścātmākāśadiśo yathā

Sauti said: Then Brahmā, having performed austerity and obtained the attainment as he desired, created first the earth out of the marrow of Madhu and Kaiṭabha, and Bhūrloka, Bhuvarloka, the most lovely Svarloka, Janoloka, Tapoloka and Satyaloka, O Śaunaka. Vaikuṇṭha and Śivaloka, and Goloka higher than those two, (are) eternal and outside the universe, like the self, space, and the directions.
